Religious Education

To provide opportunities for individuals to learn about Hinduism, its beliefs, and practices, regardless of their background, through educational programs, seminars, and resources.

Community Unity

To unite Hindus in Ottawa, irrespective of their diverse backgrounds and beliefs, and work towards a harmonious and strong Hindu community.

Social Welfare

To engage in social welfare activities and contribute to the betterment of society, offering support and assistance to those in need, irrespective of their religious or cultural affiliations.

Positive Change

To be a proactive and constructive force for the betterment of Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, collaborating with other organizations and individuals to address common social issues and challenges.

Interfaith Respect

To promote interfaith harmony and respect for all religions, fostering a culture of understanding and coexistence within the Hindu community and with other religious groups.

Non-Political and Non-Partisan

To maintain a strict non-partisan stance and refrain from affiliations with any political party, local temple, or external group in India or Canada, ensuring that the focus remains on community and cultural matters.

Inclusive Membership

To welcome individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of their color, creed, caste, or country of origin, who share an interest in Hindu culture and Sanatana Dharma, and to encourage open dialogue and sharing of religious and cultural news and matters within the group.

Advocacy

To serve as a credible voice and advocate for the Hindu community in Ottawa, representing their interests and concerns, and striving for equitable treatment and opportunities.

Beacon of Hope

To channel the combined strength of the Hindu community in Ottawa to shine as a beacon of hope and positivity, both within the community and in contributing to the well-being of the larger society and country.

Not-For-Profit Status

To operate as a not-for-profit organization, adhering to all legal and ethical standards associated with this status, and to transparently manage resources and finances for the benefit of the community.

Continuous Learning

To promote ongoing learning about Hindu culture and religion, encouraging the sharing of knowledge and experiences within the community.
